What to know before playing

Three stages, one evening, your part in it.

You will move through three stages on any visit here — arriving, playing, and finishing up — and each one has its own short list of what's expected of you.

On arrival

What happens as you walk in.

  1. You'll find the doors open at six, with the counter pouring not long after.
  2. You tell the counter you're after a table and they'll introduce you to the dealer on shift.
  3. You bring identification — eighteen is the minimum age, checked without exception at the door.
  4. You don't need to book ahead, though a call helps on a busy Friday.
Between arriving and leaving

The middle of the evening belongs to you.

You spend most of the night in the middle stretch, between the first hand and the last — the part where the room does what it's meant to do and mostly looks after itself.

You'll find the dealer close by if a ruling's needed, tea or coffee close by if your cup runs dry, and not much else asked of you beyond playing the hand you're given.

Wrapping up

What happens once the last hand finishes.

  1. You tally your chips back to points at the table before you leave.
  2. You won't exchange anything for cash at any stage — the count is simply a record of the night.
  3. You'll find the counter stops pouring well before the very last hand wraps up.
  4. You leave whenever you're ready; the marquee stays lit until the room's empty.
